An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Programme Manager to drive delivery of actions supporting Glasgow's Climate Plan.

The successful applicant will support the Sustainable Glasgow Partnership to improve Glasgow through directly contributing to climate and sustainability projects.Reporting in through Glasgow City Council’s Sustainability Programme Management Office within the Sustainability service of Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability, the successful applicant will support the work of the Sustainable Glasgow Partnership, translating the strategic ambitions of the Glasgow Climate Plan through the Partnership, managing the action plans and supporting the effective delivery of the Board and its thematic hubs and, working with member organisations, identify and coordinate funding bids, coordinate delivery, providing the necessary skills and support required to accelerate action.The post holder will promote the good work of the Partnership and associated climate activity by developing and delivering a communication and engagement strategy.The post will additionally support Glasgow City Council’s Sustainability section in overseeing the successful delivery of the actions within Glasgow’s Climate Plan and achievement of the council’s target of making the city Net-Zero Carbon by 2030 across the council family and wider city stakeholders.

A relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification within business, project management, communications, sustainability or engineering related fields together with extensive experience in a programme or project management role at senior level is essential.
